If you're going to sell something that only has 15% penetration, you might as well not do it. Clearly, this hasn't changed anything. There was no revolution. The majorty of gamers don't care about any of this... from any console maker. All it turned out to be was a ripple, not a wave which isn't what they were expecting. The entire goal was to create another launch-like craze... but that didn't happen. The majorty of people did not double dip and the new buyers don't even know they're getting a slightly better console. To them, it's just PS4.
I hope they (and anyone else paying attention) learned their lesson and stick with full upgrades from here on out. We don't need anymore modern 32X's and Sega CD's. It sucked then and it sucks now. Sorry if that seems overly cynical... but that's how I feel.
