If you're trying to point out hypocrisy Im sure you haven't forgotten almost every XBox fanboy who for years pledged resolution/power doesn't matter, but now, all of a sudden, can't wait to pay it back to the mean Sony fans who have punished them for so long...
power wasn't the main reason people flogged over to Playstation. It was Microsoft's terrible vision and reveal plus their bad rep with faulty hardware and lacking game support in the last years of 360. (Something that hasn't changed much with the XBO tbh) Plus the fact that, except for US and UK PlayStation is simply by far the much more respected and trusted brand worldwide.
PLUS price is and was a very important factor! Let's say Scorpio releases at 449$ as the leaks suggest...Sony will drop the Pro's price to 349,- at E3 and possibly 299,- later at Scorpio's release...Does anybody really think Scorpio will make a dent at all except selling to the diehard XBox fans who already bought the XOneS just a year earlier?! Especially since it's only around 40% more powerful than PS4Pro, around the same advantage PS4 had against X1?!
BTW I game since 35 years and the more powerful console has never won the competition. It's games games games in the end.
