Just so we're clear: If Nitnendo does announce Pokemon Stars, and a more portable Switch, great! it's nice that they've finally abandoned some of their old ways of thinking, and are trying to fully support the Switch, rather than trying to gouge consumers on two platforms for no good reason outside of greed. If Nitnendo does announce a 3DS sucessor, then it's business as usual from Nintendo, and I'll keep reminding myself that Nintendo doesn't do what makes sense.

Nice, a game you can't lose, the favourite of people with no confidence at all in what they are saying. And nobody believes you, looking at your historial nothing would please you more than Nintendo fucking it and its fans being wrong.

No confidence? I have every bit of confidence in Nitnendo's tendancy to make bizarre decisions. But that's the thing about bizarre decisions, they're incredibly hard to predict. The only thing predictable about Nintendo is that they are unpredictable. If you want to ignore that, that's on you.
