No MS does not have to price the Scorpio at 399 to remain relevant. This was the same preception about Sony when they were struggling with the PS3 or Nintendo wen they were struggling with the Switch. Gamers are as loyal as your last hit so for MS to remain relevant they need games that appeal to the current gamer, hardware that satisfy your graphics lovers and services that are meaningful to their eco system. The Scorpio is billed as a premium device and it probably will have a premium price because it will not change MS marketshare at all unless MS is willing to take a huge hit. I doubt MS is willing to go that route and have a more longer term plan to fix their state then bleed money.
