Yes, and the difference is simply this: the other consoles did not have anywhere near as bad production issues.

than explain how Switch is tracking far ahead of Vita, PS4 & Wii U in the same time frame while also maintaining a far higher weekly baseline?

Your argument makes no sense.

As for PSVR, lets compare the numbers, Switch is a few weeks away from hitting 1 million, how much has PSVR sold in 4 months in Japan? is it even 100k?

Again, your argument makes no sense.

His argument: people are still lining up for the chance to buy it 3 months after launch which must mean it's super popular
My retort : people are still lining up for the chance to buy PSVR 4 months later, doesn't mean it's super popular.

The point: using availability to gauge popularity is fucking dumb, and Japanese habitually line up to buy things, regardless of what it is.

The PSVR reference is nothing to do with which has sold the most and everything to do with pointing out that people queuing up for something months after it's released means nothing, given that this entire thread is based on the premise that people queuing = insane demand. Clearly there is demand, however the queues exist only because supply is catestrophically low.

Simple enough for you?
