I think most people aren't so mad about the casual games existing, its that they have just a little bit under no work put into them. The graphics were sub-last generation, etc. I don't see that many DS owners complaining about Nintendogs, etc; these games are quality games aimed at a separate demographic.

However, aiming at different demographics is NO reason to produce sub-standard games. Ubi's Petz line looks to basically be Anubis/Ninjabread Man/etc; the same game with shoddy graphics repurposed with slightly different models, and sold as though they were quality.

That kind of disdain for one's customers isn't indicative of a quality operation. If Ubi had class, they would put some effort into their work, and take pride in it.

Now, you say that Spyborgs vs. Resident Evil means we should boycott capcom.

Even if we assume Spyborgs is a bad game (personally, I think it looks like an interesting premise, and I will wait to learn more before I condemn it) and that it is low budget (despite it being one of Capcom USA's highest developed games), at the very least we know it has a minimum amount of effort put into it, as the graphics are slightly above last generation (IMO, of course). Whether or not it ends up appealing to my tastes when all is said and done, we at least know that people who buy it are not necessarily getting lobbed shovelware and being expected to pretend it is up to par.

For you to put Spyborgs on the level of Dogz, etc. at this point, I think is a rash decision, and hopefully you do not let it blind you as the game nears completion.

[edit: I forgot to put in this part before]

The reason I am boycotting Ubi personally is because that kind of corporate mentality is not something that only applies to their Wii titles.  This is just an extreme example of what a lot of their games are like.  Assassin's Creed may have sold well, and it may be some user's poster child for why Ubi is doing the right thing by producing AAA HD games and cheap Wii games, but I view it as proof that Ubi is treating the HD consoles the exact same as they treat the wii, only to a lesser extreme.  Look around the internet for videos of all the glitches, double characters, riding through rocks, etc; these are NOT the marks of a quality game.  These are the marks of a game that was rushed out, that was not given enough time to finish, etc.  They are the marks of the developers making a product 'good enough' to make the launch date.

Is that the kind of company you want to earn your dollars?  Is that the business you want to support?  Because I would rather support a company that decides to make a cheap, yet well-made game than an expensive pile o' glitches.

So as other 3rd parties during last year till now, anyone seen Alone in the Dark screenshots? YEAH, we must not judge it according to screenshots but we certainly sure its a PS2 port with tack on controls. And about Ubi, who said that they develop great games? The only good thing I played that came from Ubi was rayman and prince of Persia, like I said, theyre a publisher not a developer unless you want  Tom clancy games on the Wii but you never liked it even they exclusively released it on the Wii.
