Even large companies can be given compliments for good actions. This is obviously for advertising, but I still appreciate it nonetheless.

Unfortunately, I saw a lot of disgusting comments on Sony's twitter. Can't believe homophobic people still exist

Wells long as conservative religious Islamic and Christian orthodox nations exist there will always be homophobia as wI'll homophobic people. Recently Indonesia joined the list by convicting two guys that where gay.

I in general just don't care whether someone is gay or not. But I also don't care about the gay pride or the need to include gay in popular media. If the dev chooses to do so good for you if he doesn't I won't held it against that dev.

It's unfortunate honestly. some people just can't comprehend that the world won't suddenly have gay people making out on the street if they're tolerated. There's nothing wrong with being straight and finding the idea of being gay strange/gross. It's just when you force your opinion that it becomes an issue.

The Middle East will probably stay the same for quite some time. Even if gay rights are introduced, there will still be a very negative stigma surrounding gays. Verbal/physical harassment in schools, work, and the public world wouldn't be surprising at all.

I agree with you except for the Christian Orthodox comment. Don’t put Islam and Christian Orthodox on the same instance/comment, when it comes to gay rights. I was born in an Eastern European Christian Orthodox country and I can tell you that on gay acceptance, Christian Orthodox societies are way more progressive then Muslim/Islamic societies.

I grew up in Greece and Cyprus, both Christian Orthodox countries and the oppression I have experienced over the years for being gay has been horrible to say the least. Yes, they may not kill us in the streets (well, a lot get beat up, actually), but we're constantly reminded we're sub-humans, especially from the head of the church who wants separate schools for "perverted children" (he said that just last year). I don't know a single person who can live with his partner with no abuse from society, neighbours, family, etc. Having lived in the UK and seen attitudes of people from different countries, I can say that the difference is night and day.

Yikes- that sounds awful. I'm glad you managed to escape the hate.
