Macron's relationship is indeed a bit akward though. They met when they had to work together on a theatre play, he was 15 and his wife Brigitte was a teacher. He fell in love with her, and 2 years later he told her that he would once marry her. She had feelings for him too, but she knew it wasn't possible to have a relationship. However, when he was 18, they got seperated: he went to a school in Paris. But because Macron couldn't miss her, they had long phone calls everyday, which made her completely fall in love. Finally, Brigitte went to Paris and they started a real relationship.
But I don't get why people would say he's weak just because he has a relationship with an older woman?
