I don't think Microsoft has ever opened up a ton of studios and made a plethora of new IP announcements in the entire 15+ year Xbox history.

The only *real* success they have had has been Fable, Halo, Forza and Gears... And all those franchises bar-Forza started life outside of Microsoft's hands.

I suggest not to expect big things from Microsoft at E3 this year, bar some impressive hardware announcements.

True. You're right, their software legacy in the console realm includes literally a handful of games. I believe there was a point last gen when it was reported that Microsoft had more studios than Sony and Nintendo (not combined, but individually). Correct me if I am wrong.  I would love to see how a billion dollar Xbox one game investment turns out. LOL....ridiculous things like Sony's M.A.G. come to mind. LOL E3 is so close yet so far.
