Nintendo's amazing games didn't do much for Wii U. While Sony's success is primarily from 3rd party games also on Xbox.

Lets just say better games is subjective given MS's titles do have a following.

The Wii U had a bad marketing scheme and terrible third party support. Seeing that Nintendo made a handheld hybrid, this is going to make the console a more attactive upgrade option from their large DS fanbase (especially if a Pokemon is announced). If that happens the floodgates will open.
