Western 3rd parties were never going to invest in porting games to the Switch from day 1 unless said ports were quite cheap until they knew there was a market for it.
The performance of a few upcoming games this year, such as NBA 2K/FIFA/Skyrim/MarioRabbids, as well as whether or not the Switch maintains its momentum through the holidays, will play a large role in whether western devs will risk spending the additional resources to port games over to it.
