Because they are spreading titles, they don't need to overcrowd Nov/Dec... that would be cannibalism. 

Mario Kart, 3D Mario & Monster Hunter launched within like 3 weeks of one another back in Nov/Dec 2011 and they didnt cannibalize each other.

Its normal to have more big games in the holiday months than other times of the year.
