GTAV sold 5m in 1st quarter 2017. game would definitely be popular on Switch also, especially because handheld mode, it would easily sold few millions.

Yes, I think this is why it's in development. Any number of studios could be farmed out to handle the port too, it doesn't need to be the main GTA team.

It would be great for Nintendo and Rockstar also, but unfortunately I think Rockstar doesn't care too much about another version of game and that they are very pleased with current sales, but maybe point that they could have full GTA game in portable mode could change their mind.

It wouldn't be an easy port, GTA V on ps3 and 360 was right at the end of their life when just about ever ounce of performance was extracted from those consoles. Both have significantly more memory bandwidth and cpu resources even if they have more limited memory and older gpu architectures. I think we are much more likely to get a compilation of ps2 era GTA games on a compilation cartridge than GTA V though.

Is this serious post!? Switch has much more raw power (not to mention architecture and tech gain) compared to PS3/Xbox360 that it could run any PS3/Xbox360 game at 1080p with better frame rate. Fact that Switch runs MK8D at 1080p/60fps proves that, same like few comparisons of multi platform games between Switch and PS4 versions. Switch power is somewhere between Wii U and XB1, and even Wii U is more stronger than PS3/Xbox360.
