Yep, they are so low that people thinks without a specific kind of combat system is impossible to make a fun game. So terribly low that people thinks they can judge something without even play it. 

Not just the combat system. If you played the originals, it was much more than just that. 

I already played Sticker star and watched gameplay of it... I don't need to play this one.
