just because video game fans wants a certain type of actor because he looks similar to Nathan Fillion doesnt meanhe was the right choice.. Why would anyone who is not familiar with uncharted or plays video games wanna see a movie with an actor that anyone outside of nerd culture hardly knows off.. Uncharted with a bad script and Nathan fillion would have been DOA. uncharted with a good script and NF wouldnt have that earned much for the studio to greenlit a sequel.
plus as a fan i dont want a movie for uncharted coz nathan drake for me is Nolan north, and game is like a movie experience, But as a studio you wanna capitalize on the success of the games, so i think this is the perfect way to introduce nathan drake to general public and even gamers wouldnt mind.. young nathan drake is not nolan north, if the movie turns out to be good, tom holand will grow into adult nathan drake and the progression will be natural. Now only if they get Sully's casting right my vote goes to Tom Hanks..
