The first I'll show is Hellgate: London: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/46619.html I'm sure many of you know that I'm a wee bit tired of hack n' slash games, but I can still play them (I'm playing Resident Evil 4 right now), especially when they're multiplayer. Hellgate: London is an MMORPGFPS. Omgwtfbbq, you say? Yes, it's true! It's built by many of the developers of Diablo, who have since left Blizzard. It features the same open ended design, where you can enter "dungeons" and portions of the games content repeatedly, and every time you do the dungeon is rebuilt randomly. I'm hoping this game can be a true test of skill in an MMO game, because (at the moment) I don't feel that most really tax skill level to a high degree. FPS tend to take more skill to multi-play than RPGs do, so it's a start. |
