Do you really think these weapons stay in Saudi hands? FN (our Belgian national weapons company) sold firearms to the Saudi's. After a few months, reports started coming in that Al Nusra had aquired weapons from a recent shipment. It's quite clear the US keeps the Saudi regima afloat (as do many other countries), the Saudi's happily resell these weapons to terrorists.

The Saudis are kept in power to ensure that Iran doesn't take over the region. It's a balance. Obama sided more with Iran, whereas Trump sides more with Saudi Arabia. I do think that some of the equipment will either be "stolen or lost" and wind up in the hands of bad people. That's the nature of doing business in these regions though.
