You didn't know the man enough to say if you can respect him. Taking one moment of someone's life and judging them for it is not an appropriate way to judge someone. How would you like it if we judged you based solely on your lowest moments in life.

Hunting wasn't a 'moment' of his life. Quite largely, it was his life.
