Because they act like the country is their family business. They could have built three Dubais so it's frustrating to see all that money spent on the military when the country was in recession just last year. 

They had to pay that much money to keep Iran prisoned. The deal went like this:

"You want the USA to stay mad at Iran for bullshit reasons for another decade? buy tons of weapons from us and not from anyone else!"

"We'll do! Slap Iran with more sanctions and invade them whenever possible please!"

For all the crap Trump gave Obama for being soft on the gulf states, it seems Trump is adopting a much softer approach. Fuck that.
