Switch review scores are suspiciously inflated. Ports shouldn't score higher than original unless they're a part in a collection. Let alone by 7 whole points.

The Last of Us Remastered had 1080p and 60fps modes and included single player and multiplayer DLCs at $50 yet it didn't score a single point higher than the PS3 version.

I guess Switch ports will keep getting higher scores than their true value just because the system is portable. Which is completely irrelevant to the actual quality of the game.

Worth noting there would naturally be less movement the higher you go on the scale.  Games in the mid 90s are already exceptional, you would have to do something really insane to them to move them by more than a point if even that.  Games in the low 80s have numerous potential improvements that could be made.  It will always be easier to move from and 8 to and 8.5 than a 9.5 to a 9.7 or 10.

Oh and there is no "trend" here.  At all.  Snake Pass is scored the exact same on Switch as PS4.  NBA Playgrounds scored lower on Switch.  1-2-Switch got mauled in the ratings and Super Bomberman R didn't fare well either.
