I'm sorry but nope, this kind of games are clearly better for hanheld gaming, that guy from Geek starts the review with the same opinion

"They felt so perfect on the Vita given their SRPG nature with quick battles that I was actually disappointed when Disgaea 5 was announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive title"

Disgaea also had better scores on Vita despite being released 3 years later, this one is portable and with more content just one year after its ps4 release. In fact you can find similar examples with Disgaea 4 (Eurogamer Spain gives an 80 to Ps3 version and a 90 to Vita...)

But most important, Switch has 8 times less reviews... I'm afraid you are seeing what you want to see.

I'm not seeing what I want to see, I'm seeing what is happening.
The amount of reviews was actually the first point I even mentioned here when making my answer to the thread.

And no, it's not clearly better for handheld gaming, I've been playing Disgaea since the beginning on the PS2, I've played every single one of them, plus other similar NIS games, and I'm used on having sessions that last over 8 hours on it regularly, that's how I like to play this series, and the amount of spent hours the series average from players points to the same, people play it A LOT, check the forums out there.
It might suit better other people, but it's not clearly better suited for it, I'm part of the core community of this game since the beginning and I'm not found of it, it also doesn't mean it's clearly better suited for consoles, but it means the game can and is since the beginning enjoyed on really long sessions by its fans which is a handheld major downside, so there is nothing clear there, there are prefferences.

About Disgaea 4, as I said, those Vita versions have actual new features compared to the original version, not the only the game DLCs (which they also have), but new characters, stories and even gameplay mechanics.

I enjoy playing the Legend of Zelda games on TV for long sessions, same as you do with Disgaea.  However, the fact that the Switch allows me to play it anywhere I want is the single driving factor for my having been able to put over 120 hours into Breath of the Wild already.  If I couldn't take my Switch out of the house with me, I doubt that I'd be anywhere near as far in the game as I am currently (over 70 shrines, 2 divine beasts, over 100 korok seeds).  Others have beaten the game already mind you, I'm just talking about my own personal pace.  So for myself, and I'm sure many other people who are enjoying the Switch's versatility, yes this would make a game even more enjoyable over a console only or portable only counterpart.
