I disagree. No other racing game has replay footage that looks this good. Both in replay and actual gameplay the lighting and material of the cars look amazing, unlike any other racing game. It makes it really look realistic and life like. This is what DF also notes. Problem is that the environments just don't compare. Neither is any other sim racer good in that department, semi sim racer Driveclub is only game on point. Another problem with GT is that it's managed real tight by its creator Kaz, I dont think many complaints in the West reach the team in Japan. PD is a really small team for what they make, Turn10 is twice as large. They finally fixed the sounds tho. Wish PD expand so they make bigger games, faster. Also make some spinoffs like Tourist Trophy again, or GT Sport Horizon! |
Have you seen the replay footages on other Sim Racers? I cant talk for Project Cars but i will talk on behalf of Forza 6. Its replay footage looks just as good and its simple to do because they add more detail and effects in the footage to make it look better than what you actually play. GTS does the same thing here where they twick there settings higher for that mode. Its nothing new and differently i wouldnt put it past FM6 from what iv seen, more like on par.
True the lighting is better in GTS however there is alot more to a game than good lighting. FM6 lighting is still good in comparison.

Hey, guess what? It's a freaking beta, complain all you want if these frame drops are present on release day... Honestly 1800p checkerboard isn't even a huge jump from native 1080p considering twice the GPU power in the Pro, they will eliminate these drops. I hope they will get it to checkerboard 2160p like Guerilla did with Horizon which was going to be checkerboard 1800p as well. That would be twice the pixel count of 1080p and checkerboarding makes it look even better than normal "1530p" does. |
I base my judgment on what iv been shown not what i assume will be fixed.
In your case i hope your right however i wouldnt be expecting a native 4k at 60 frames. Horizon is a 30frame game running at 4k, not 60.
Ill be happy to wait and see the final results.
