Nintendo reveals E3 2017 plans – video presentation, Treehouse stream, tournaments

Well it could always be revealed after E3. Hell, we may not see until next year. Like I said, it's all up to The Pokemon Company and how they want to reveal it, assuming it's real at all.  

It's most likely real, Eurogamer isn't 100% accurate on everything but they have good credibility, and the codename they gave for the game now redirects to the Pokemon site just like the codename for Sun and Moon did. Besides Pokemon is a yearly franchise and Sun & Moon strongly hint at a sequel and desperately want to be played on better hardware. If it's releasing this holiday as Pokemon games do, it'll be revealed no later than E3.
