My whole point is if Nintendo corrected a past mistake. Which was, not being able to make enough games to support their systems in a good way.
Paying 3rd parties to make a game is not the same thing and that is why i don't look at those investments as a way to determine if Nintendo changed or not.

But a game is a game, whether a Nintendo or a 3rd party made it, the consumer isn't going to percieve it any differently. If Nintendo letting more 3rd party's use their IPs to output more games, it's a smart move, a move which shows they have changed for the better. Nintendo isn't some magical company that has unlimited resources and can output as many games as they want, they can only do so much.

So really Nintendo have changed on your point as they've done the only thing thay can to get more games made; get 3rd partys make them.

Having 3rd parties use Nintendo's IP is a whole different story.

Also, what i said above is not the only way to get more games.
As they are dropping 3DS support, they basically have one single system support. This will automatically lend to more games being out on Switch.

So, even if their resources are limited they are no longer dividing them between handheld and home console and it seems that it won't happen anytime soon too.
Therefore it is expected of them to have more than before.
