Dynasty Warriors 9 will be the first open world title in the series

I'm quite intrigued by this right now, but at the same time, I'm still really worried they're just going to use the open world to force us to do even more meaningless stuff, such as boring filler missions, boring hunting, and boring and time-consuming running around. It sounds like they're actually going to take advantage of the open world too, but I hope they don't misuse it at the same time. Judging by the information so far, this could be either the best or the worst Dynasty Warriors game so far, or anything in between.

Oh, and if there's no split-screen, it's almost dead for me. Dynasty Warriors alone is only so much fun, but it's much more fun with a second player.
