Derived from a nickname my mother had for me once.

She called me "Gameboy", because I was a boy that played games and obviously refering to the Nintendo handheld. Crudely translated, in Dutch that would be "Speeljongen", or something like that, but since I'm a man now, and because it sounds better as if it was a real name, I changed it to "Speelman".

I then stylized it with the period, making it "S. Peelman". This comes from Donald Duck comics basically, because in the Dutch version of those, a lot of (side-)characters have names where their initials combined with their last names make up a real word that's related to their character or profession or whatever. I thought that was funny.

I use the nickname S.Peelman for a lot of things, but also use the name L.Oopmans sometimes. Which I purposely made to be like S.Peelman. As a word this would translate to "Walkman", but I would be referencing a hobby of mine and not the Sony music player.
