So much debate over the english language!

Its A if the following word begins with a consonant

And AN if it starts with a vowel!

Get over it!

Sadly...it's not that simple.

It has to do with vowel sounds.

It is that simple.  I'm just more concerned about the self-proclaimed writer, ssj12, suggesting that it is proper English to say:

"That is an toaster oven."

You see....ssj12 conducts his debates like this on a normal basis....but usually it is about something subjective...where there is no concrete answer.

In this scenario there is a definitive answer...which I have provided sources for on two occasions....but ssj12 insists he is right (even so far as to basically deny the existence of Purdue University).

What you may not realize is how many people have been banned on this site for going toe-to-toe with him....and he always conducts himself in this same manner...yet he'll never admit when he misspeaks or made a simple error; yet if we were to behave in this fashion we would be labelled trolls and given a time out.
