I think they just failed at marketing and promoting it. First the name is terrible. They could have spent like 1 second of brain power and named it Super Wii and it would have at least sold 20m+. I'm hoping they can get back to at least Wii levels of software output which you would think be achievable with only one format to focus on with 3DS being an afterthought now.
