FF1, 6, or 7 have a good shot.
DQ is trickier. DQ1 revolutionized modern RPGs, DQ3 has a lot of stuff Im too lazy to mention, DQ4 had an odd but effective story telling mechanic... as did 5, but 5 also was the first video game to let you pick your wife/have kids, DQ7 was most popular in Japan while DQ8 gained a sizable following in the west but also completely changed the series... in a few ways Im too lazy to mention. In short it'll be close between DQ1, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 imo. I think 1, 5, and 8 have the best chances though

TBH I think DQ will actually have a hard time getting in, simply because of how small it still is outside of Japan.
From their website: Icon-status: the game is widely recognized and remembered. Geographical reach: the game meets the above criteria across international boundaries.
The game actually has to be popular across the world rather than just influential to the genre/industry which I think will seriously harm DQs chances. Will probably be an issue for the earlier FF games too, especially the ones that never even released outside Japan until much later.

Theres probably a reason why FF and DQ didnt make the list and that could be due to Pokemon Red/Green which falls under the same RPG genre.
