Yeah but, even then they're doing individual games rather than whole series. So which DQ/FF should they choose? IIRC the VGC article on it said FF7 was one of the finalists, so that getting in there sooner or later is probably inevitable so that's something.

FF1, 6, or 7 have a good shot.

DQ is trickier. DQ1 revolutionized modern RPGs, DQ3 has a lot of stuff Im too lazy to mention, DQ4 had an odd but effective story telling mechanic... as did 5, but 5 also was the first video game to let you pick your wife/have kids, DQ7 was most popular in Japan while DQ8 gained a sizable following in the west but also completely changed the series... in a few ways Im too lazy to mention. In short it'll be close between DQ1, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 imo. I think 1, 5, and 8 have the best chances though
