It'll do fine, and keep the 3DS family on the market and relevant for a little while longer.

It looks quite good too, but there's one thing I don't really get; why is it a clamshell design? Wasn't the whole point of the regular 2DS's slate-design that the little children couldn't break the hinges like they were apparently doing with DS's and 3DS's? So what now, have Nintendo developed some kind of unbreakable hinge for the N2DS?
