Why you would not immediately put a screen protector on it is beyond me.
My screen is not scratched, nor is my tempered glass screen protector. My cheap plastic screen protector I had on first got a few light scratches though. Cannot speak for unprotected.
In either case, using a tempered glass protector will eliminate any problems that may or may not exist. I can assure you of that.
