The Switch's portability definitely appears like it will help a ton in getting Japanese third party games.

I imagine western devs will wait to see if it keeps selling and look into the performance of the first few releases (such as Skyrim/FIFA/NBA2k etc) before investing the resources into porting, though.

Hopefully the Japanese titles can tide us over until then, and the Switch can perform well in Japan.

By the way, what happened to those games. I haven't heard about them since the Switch announcement

It's become very evident that Nintendo has some serious NDA's with their third party partners (as is made clear in that they couldn't even confirm their ports after appearing in the Switch's reveal trailer initially lol, not to mention the STILL unannounced Rabbids crossover).

If I had to guess, I think Nintendo is going to really try to blow the doors off of E3 to get as much momentum going as possible for the Switch. That they've already gotten all of the 3DS and New 2DS stuff out and announced ahead of time supports this idea in my mind, avoiding distractions from the main focus.
