Thats excellent news.RE7 was excellent.Especially the fact that its not like RE 5 and 6.Thank god

Dont get me wrong, I would also love a third person game. But Im more than happy with this direction.

For me it's more a case of waiting for another Resi game from someone else that captures what I loved about the first few Resi titles. R7 didn't really do that for me and ofc the sucess means they will just emulate what R7 has done like they did when R4 was a success, so I'm basically not into the future of the franchise anymore, not unless they go back to Resi 1-3 style roots. until then I'll be looking into other horror games that grab my attention and support them instead.

Fair enough.

I think thats why they are making RE 2 remake actually. They are trying different styles, beginning with RE 7, to see what works best.

I think ideally, they should go on with RE 7 style for at least 2 more main entries and change again, just like they have been doing with RE so far(as to not become stale), and at the same time, make the spin off revelations games the "action packed" RE for the more action oriented fans.Make it all part of the same universe and make events in each "franchise" have effect on the other, but each keeps its own storylines, much like with the relation betwenn the marvel movies and the marvel tv shows.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
