Um... for more reasons that are worth explaining in a post, but mostly because with a mouse you can turn, look, and aim instantly. With a Jorstick you are fighting with moving your targeting reticule in another direction at a limited speed and never to the exact spot you are trying to aim.
Honestly I want someone to make a KB&M PS3 game with cross-controller support so I can show all these console gamers the difference it makes... it's not a small diference.
