(1) Those Switch sales are really impressive. It sold more than last week and the big release this week is that Spelunker game.People are probably buying it in antecipation of MK 8D?

(2) And PS4 sales are a tad dissapointing. Its probably too early to say, but could this be the Switch starting to eat away the PS4 sales?Well, it certainly wont make things easier for the PS4 in japan in the upcomming months, thats for sure.

For the overall games, things seem good.Games like Nier, Zelda and surprisingly Bomberman are holding well.

(1) Probably stock issues. Sales go up if there are more units available.

(2) Probably normal reduction before golden week boost. I don't see Switch hurting the PS4 much, but Vita might be another story.

About point 1, you are right.Forgot for a moment that the Switch is having stock issues.

As for my other point.I dont really think so.Switch is still on its infancy, so the impact on ther larger market is still small, but the Switch is in direct competition with the PS4 and as time goes on, it will get more and more games. And since the Switch form factor is more desirable over there than the PS4, that could influence directly over PS4 sales. But as I said, too early to say.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
