It would be a nice option for many FPS games but it will only appeal to a small part of the market that would want to go through the trouble to setup a mouse and keyboard in their living room and the much smaller group that would do it on a computer desk. The other problem is the afore mentioned online fairness problem. You don't want the KB/M players chasing your controller jockeys off of servers.

I give this thread a 9.6.

Yeah it would only appeal to a fraction of the people playing, but I could easily immagine the more "hardcore FPS demographic" jumping all over something like that :P Plus if it's already an option for PC, why not just toss the feature in ^^ it would play and control just as well as the PC version minus the graphical tweaking. I can't immagine it being much effort to add the code.

Your score seems awfully high :P I call shenanigans ;/

It changes things more than you think. Game balancing for KB/M is different then controller. Weapon targeting usually has to be tweaked. Many weapons on console shooters are designed with the controller in mind. When people use them on a KB/M, they feel clunky and not accurate enough. Also, if a weapon was purpusefully made to be difficult to be accurate with, it's possible that with a mouse it can become more useful and again make the game an inconsistent experience from mouse to controller. Although it may be a good thing for many games that don't need and shouldn't have it, it also prevents the developer from using motion controls for anything. They would have to adapt it to the KB/M setup.

I give that post a 9.3.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.
