Theres a lot of people who havent gamed on a Nintendo platform (like myself) in a while and want incentives. As silly as it sounds, achivements and trophies are pretty big. it helps with replay value. I can understand the skepicism. Nintendo needs to get with the program.

Oh, I agreee that it would be a good thing. There's almost no downside to their addition.
