I think it can surpass the Wii U version's 430k, but a million seems out of reach. If you assume that around 1.3 million people in the US will have a Switch at the time of MK8D's launch, over a million is a 77% attach rate. Not even the Nintendomination poll has that high of an attach rate, and I'd expect forum-goers to be a lot more hardcore than the overall audience.
