I wouldn't think of Target first if I were on the lookout to buy games, but I would say their overall shopping experience is nicer than that of GameStop and especially Walmart. Anyhow, those bollards look... odd, but the shopping karts are quite cool. |
Yeah, that is true. The Target game sections always look tidy and well organized compared to Gamestop. They always seem a but messy when it comes to their stores.

I've bought games at Target before. I wouldn't call it my "go to". I have found that they have very good Black Friday sales, enough so that I won't bother driving to Best Buy or Wal-Mart (which are both further away to boot) this coming holiday. Also, I'd never actually seen/heard of Target prior to one opening near me in the early 2000's. Caldor and Bradlee's were the closest competitors to K-Mart in my area before they went backrupt in the late 90's and then the Target's and Wal-marts began to crop up everywhere. |
I've bought some game goods at Target, but since they were rather far from my area, I rarely went to them myself. Best Buy and Gamestop are a lot closer to me, so I usually go to either of those places.

Target is underrated by the gaming community. They always have accessories and games available when they come out. The shopping experience is definitely better than that of gamestop or walmart.
Also, it's funny how Target has better advertisements than the Wii u. |
I don't mean to say Target is bad, but just not one I commonly hear as a place people go to buy games at. They're farther than me compared to other stores, so I rarely go to Target to buy games. I suppose Target getting Rosalina as an exclusive amiibo adds some truth to that comment about Target being an important partner for Nintendo.
