So it took Breath of the Wild about 15 days (march 3rd - march 18th) to overtake HZD in retail sales. 2,384,000 vs 2,355,000
Can we agree that the gap was very short lived? Or will you hit me again with some inductive reasoning?
Seems to me that from now on the gap between Zelda and Horizon will only get bigger.
So do you think that HZD can close the gap or is that wishful thinking?

That's foolish of you to say. Word of mouth is so strong with HZD. It will keep selling. I imagine it will outleg Zelda because most people that want the game are already lined up for it. Just look at a movie like Avatar. No one knew what the heck it was but word of mouth kept its weekly $$$$ from falling. I think Zelda will quickly die out as I think it is very frontloaded while HZD has far more room to grow as it's such a new IP.

No i completly disagree with this. First off in retail zelda is ahead of hzd in most territories weekly As of april releases (even in the UK)

Next you think a game with over a 100% rate in the US will just be front loaded? Come next NPD when you see zelda above hzd you know you would have been wrong.

Lastly zelda isnt front loaded. Most nintendo games arent, but for the sake of zelda only, Twilight princess, only other zelda launch game sold less than botw is now......... And it legged out to 8.5mil lifetime (first month did around 2mil)

This isnt a knock to hzd great performance, im stating zelda will have better legs.
