Definitely possible, the question is when will Mario Kart 9 happen? Same question for Smash 4 Deluxe: what it sells and whether or not they even make it is really down to when a Smash 5 might happen. I don't think those games would completely stop the sales of MK8D and SSB4D but it would definitely slow them down considerably.
