Deep Learning Operations (DLTOPS) is a theoretical number anyway. It's probably even more irrellevent to gaming performance than tflops.

Happens with AMD as well. I mean... Everyone thought Ryzen was going to smash Intel out of the Park.
The same happened with Bulldozer, everyone thought AMD was "returning" with their new "FX" chips.

If anyone had paid attention to the engineering samples and listened to experts, they would have known better.

Yeah, I think DLTOPS are quite irrelevant for gaming,

As for Ryzen - not sure who expected what, but Ryzen do smash Intel, especially if price is taken into account, in quite a few tasks - just not in gaming.

In some games optimised for it, Ryzen comes out ahead.

Also for streaming (software), they re doing alot better than Intel counterparts.

Ryzen is much better than bulldozer was, its kinda unfair to compair its launch to that of bulldozer's.

Ryzen is alot more competitive than bulldozer ever was.
