One show doesn't mean shit if advertisers are actively dumping your entire network. 

Mercedes-Benz, Coca-Cola, BMW, McDonalds, etc. don't need to market on Fox, they have a million options. It was also embarrassing likely to Fox to have a show that basically had no commercials and as such ran like 10 minutes shorter, lol.
