Why would you want a new main? Meta Knights fine X.x.
If you like the air though, all 3 of the Kirby series toons, R.O.B. and Luigi are decent in that aspect that I know of. Dedede is probably the worst of those 5 in the air, but he's one of the hardest characters in the game to outright KO.
Kirby's got the killer starter combos I know you liked =p
