Sony has absolutely no chance to accomplish this. "Foreseeable future" cannot be defined as anything more than ten years, and even that is already pushing it because it encompassess two generations of hardware.

Using a timeframe of ten years, Sony would need to outship Nintendo hardware by 20m units annually. That's completely unrealistic.

define foreseeable future, is that 3 years? 5 years? 10 years?

like Rol said, if its 10 years than Sony would need to outsell Nintendo by an average of 20 million/year and this unlikely since PS4 has yet to sell 20 million in any year and Nintendo isnt going to sell zero units in the next 10 years so its almost impossible.

I think I use the wrong word here. What I mean by "foreseeable future" is assuming both Sony and Nintendo is stick to the current path and will follow current sales trajectory. Also assuming neither of them will pull another Wii again. Anyway I'll gonna remove that from the title to prevent confusion.

A handheld gamer only (for now).
