If the beliefs are backwards, they should be allowed, but criticised.
If the beliefs are dangerous or infringe on the rights of others, they should be stopped.
The only problem is it's all subjective, and people can twist facts to put pretty much any belief into one of these groups, as I'm pretty sure you all know and see on a regular basis. Politics seem to be losing touch with reality sadly.
