Alcohol makes it a lot easier though. :p

I'm honestly scared of what I'd do if I were drunk. I like having control over my mind.

I've never been drunk either, and I'm kinda scared of it too.

I also consider myself to be a bit to young to get really drunk, although most people of my age get drunk quite frequently.

The trick to it just understanding your own limits and yourself. The first time, just get a little buzzed with some friends (or by yourself) to see how you act while a bit intoxicated. It's not poison so don't it like it is nor is it a race to a finish line. Just pace yourself when you drink. Just keep a good buzz so you don't get sick and you have a good time while not embarrassing yourself.

From what I seen, people with good impulse control can handle being drunk fairly easy while behaving themselves most of the time after some practice. If someone has bad impulse control, they'll likely to act a fool while drunk or take it too far in some way. The trick to it just understanding your own limits and yourself.

One guy I was an aquanstance with never really got drunk or tipsy before. He would always just sip his drinks. He did that for years. Never really experienced being tipsy. The first time I saw him actually get drunk, he went  so overboard, he right into the river. I think he took a few shots and it hit him hard. Next thing ya know, he started to drink hard liquors and hit on every girl telling them that he loved them.... After a bit of that, he threw up all over himself and passed out. He swore off drinking for awhile. lol. He never tried to learn how to control himself while intoxicated or how to pace himself so that is why it happened.

A friend of mine just can't control himself in a party situation. He always gets so drunk that he passes out or throws up. I think that he likes to show off or something. When it's just a few people, he's pretty good about handling his booze.

My point is that pacing yourself (maintain a nice  buzz) is the key to drinking.
