If they released a 1080p version of Melee for the Switch I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
That being said, I don't think it is really necessary. There are millions of copies of Melee in circulation and tens of millions of Wiis and GameCubes that can play it. Everyone who wants to play it is probably still playing it. Everyone else is probably satisfied by what Smash 4 or (untitled Smash Bros project for Switch) offers.
It'd be nice to get it playable on a modern TV with low input lag or something I guess.
