MS can't take anything from the Scorpio unless they call it directly (or at least suggest) it's a next generation console. Without that it's just another XB1 added to the pool of a console that's 27m behind, just as the PS4 Pro was just another PS4 added to the pool of a console that's 27m in the lead. These mid tear updates are there to 'revitalise', not 'replace'.
MS will be considering very carefully the implications of promoting it 'directly' as a next gen console.
The PS5 Exists.
